A "Made in America" Breed
The Mi-Ki is a rare purebred dog, which is a relatively new toy breed. It is widely believed to have begun in the United States in the 1980s. It only ranges between 5 and 9 pounds full-grown! That cute puppy will stay little forever!
The heritage of these adorable dogs comes from three toy breeds: the Maltese, the Papillon, and the Japanese Chin. All three of these breeds have been revered by royalty and aristocracy and have each been the favorite lap dog choice for their countries of origin.
The Mi-Ki's heritage provides you with the perfect pet.
With its heritage as a lapdog, the Mi-Ki is the best of all worlds: intelligent, friendly, playful, and obedient. Its activity level is moderate. Mi-Kis are also known to be calm, patient and gentle.
The breed is good with children and enjoys activities. Can be a great traveler. They are small enough to go with you, enjoy the ride, and can be trained to go in a litter box or on pads.
Although they come in small packages, Mi-Kis are good watchdogs and have a "big dog" attitude. Still, at the end of the day, they love to curl up right up in your lap and snuggle.
